The regular season for the Tri-State Conference teams continues this weekend after some non-conference games. Attached please find the results as of 10-22-26 and the current standings.

MEN

The Men’s Teams have one more weekend of regular season play after which the top 4 will playoff to represent the Conference in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) postseason. It looks like the perennial power, USMMA, Kings Point have a good shot at wrapping up the number 1 seed but the men from Hofstra University always put up a good showing and are also a likely playoff team. The latter will want to secure a three seed or better. SUNY-Maritime will be in a dog fight to try and get into the semifinal round but are probably favorites over a much improved SUNY-New Paltz this year. Seton Hall will be at home against the Vassar men and they too are in the hunt for a semifinal berth. Remember, the Fairfield University Developmental team does not qualify for postseason through the Tri-State Conference so the top 5 teams are all in the mix for a semifinal slot. Only Vassar and Montclair State are playing for pride alone.

WOMEN

The Women’s Division II does not have a playoff this year and it’ll all be decided by the regular season standings and with 2 weekends remaining it’s still an open race. The Vassar Women are unbeaten but still have to play Marist and Fairfield a second time. Fairfield beat Marist earlier this fall and all the top 3 have soundly beaten Columbia University. The New York City school has a young and inexperienced team and has found the going difficult. They are forfeiting their remaining games on account of low roster numbers and injuries. The Tri-State Conference has traditionally sent 2 or 3 teams to Nationals and certainly Vassar, Fairfield and Marist are true contenders. In Division III it looks like it’ll be between the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Women and the Siena Women.

The remaining teams will be paired up for postseason Bowl games giving them an additional weekend of Rugby and those matchups will be published November 2, 2026.
