Fall 2016 Season Fast Approaching
The medals in the Rio Olympics for Rugby have now been earned and very soon it’ll be time to turn our attention to the 15-a-side game. The Tri-State Rugby Conference will commence divisional play in September with the first games being on Saturday the 10th.
Out with the old and in with the new!
Members and all those interested in the action can now go to the new Tri-State Rugby Conference web site at http://www.tristaterugby.com – please feel free to link to the site using social media and send in news and recent photographs of your team.
Report Results
Please have a team member report the scores each weekend to the tobrown@vassar.edu as well as tristaterugbyinfo@gmail.com
Feel free to provide scorers names and comments as we make the effort to better inform our collegiate rugby community.
501 (c) (3) Status Obtained
The Conference has now obtained from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) a determination that it is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c) (3). This means that donors can deduct contributions they make under section IRC 170. If you know of people or businesses that are willing to sponsor the conference then please make sure they know that there contribution is tax deductible.

When you need to contact another team just go to the main menu where it shows the word TEAMS then navigate to the team you need to contact. There you will find all the points of contact for that program.

FALL SCHEDULE
The 2016 Fall Schedule is shown in it’s entirety but teams must be sure to confirm each week with their opponents and verify the kick-off time.
B-SIDE (JV) GAMES
Please let each of your opponents know before the season if you are unable to provide a B-side game. During your first week back at school contact each team you play rather than wait until the week of the game. The main thing is to communicate and don’t settle for e-mail as these are not always read immediately. Text or better still talk on the phone.
RUGBY IMPORTS
The web site still has a lot more potential and we will be adding to the design. We hope to have a RUGBY IMPORTS PLAYER OF THE WEEK program in place and details of that will follow as the season gets underway. A big thank you to Mr. Brett Anker who has taken on the job of webmaster – with his work we hope to make the site a dynamic and more informative vehicle.

Club Dues
In the summer all teams were sent an invoice for the dues for 2016-17. Please make sure these are presented to your Club Sports Director. Thank you to the 11 teams that have already paid.
Register your Club with USA Rugby August 15th!
Teams must be registered with USA Rugby under the Club & Individual Participation Program (CIPP).
